Changing the System Time on a 3x8 or 824 DR5 or DR5.1: 

Here are things you need to know:

• If you are on a Norstar 824 system, you will need to use a 2 line display phone such as an M7310, T7316e.  Not a M7208 or T7208.  (Any phone will work on a 3x8 Norstar system).  If immediately after entering the logon id, the phone beeps and says access denied, please review your phone type.
• I use names like [NEXT], [SHOW], [CHANGE].  These correspond to some of the function buttons on the phone.  It varies by phone type.  You will see arrows on the display next to the active buttons.  There is a template in the documentation guides.  But, NEXT is normally the bottom or lower right button, and change is normally the top button.

HOW TO CHANGE THE TIME:

1. Login to Admin [Feature],"*", "*", 23646, 23646
2. Enter [NEXT][NEXT][SHOW]
3.  The Time is displayed, does it need to be changed?  if NOT, Skip to 4 below
   • [CHANGE]
   • does the Hour need to be changed? if so:
     1. [CHANGE]
     2. enter 2 digit hour
   • [NEXT]
   • do the Minutes need to be changed?  if so:
     1. [CHANGE]
     2. enter 2 digit minutes
   • [NEXT]
   • does the AM/PM status need to be changed? if so proceed
     1. [CHANGE]
4. [NEXT]
5. The Date is displayed, does it need to be changed?  if NOT, Skip to 6 below
   • [CHANGE]
   • does the Year need to be changed?  if so proceed
     1. [CHANGE]
     2. enter 2 digit year
   • [NEXT]
   • does the Month need to be changed?  if so proceed
     1. [CHANGE]
     2. enter 2 digit month.
   • [NEXT]
   • does the Day need to be changed?  if so proceed
     1. [CHANGE]
     2. enter 2 digit day.
6. [NEXT]

You have completed the time change.  Please check your results and try it again if necessary.
